Journalist arrested at Ga. rally back in ICE custody 1 day after being released

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A day after he was released from a southeast Georgia immigration processing facility, journalist Mario Guevara is back in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to Floyd County jail records.

Guevara, the Salvadoran reporter who was arrested last month while covering a DeKalb County protest against President Donald Trump and his administration’s immigration enforcement operations, was released Wednesday from the ICE processing center in Folkston, Georgia, according to federal officials.

He was released after a federal immigration court judge set Guevara’s bond at $7,500 on Tuesday…
