On June 28th, Fayette County Fire and Emergency Services received a call to the QTS Data Center in Fayetteville regarding an employee whom authorities believe may have been electrocuted while performing work duties. When they arrived, on-site safety staff was performing CPR on a construction employee whom authorities believe was electrocuted. Advanced Life Support treatment was initiated, and the patient was transferred to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, arriving withspontaneous circulation restored.
However, the patient tragically passed away soon after.
QTS Data Center put out the following statement: “On Saturday, June 28, an incident occurred at the QTS Data Center campus in Fayetteville, Georgia. While performing work, an individual sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital. We are deeply saddened that the individual has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family, loved ones, and colleagues during this time. The safety and well-being of all personnel is our highest priority. An assessment is underway, and we are cooperating fully with the appropriate regulatory agencies, including OSHA.”…
