Clayton County sheriff warns of various scams

According to a Clayton County Sheriff’s Office announcement Thursday, there are many scams in the county — including jury duty, inmate bonds and HOV tolls.

“Sheriff Levon Allen was made aware of multiple scams occurring in Clayton,” the Thursday alert read. “He will continue to send out notifications warning citizens of the scam.”

The most recent scams involve a toll or express lane warrant and a federal jury duty warrant, and all scam reports are being investigated, the CCSO said…
