Atlanta Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole for Murder of Coworker at MARTA Station

An Atlanta man has been sentenced to life without parole for the murder of his coworker in August 2024. Xavier Mosley was found guilty by a jury on June 27 and was sentenced at the Arts Center MARTA Station. He was convicted of felony murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as reported by FOX5 Atlanta.

Surveillance footage from the night of the incident showed Mosley and Demarco Mathis talking on a bench before Mosley suddenly opened fire. Mathis, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
