A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in Atlanta for her alleged involvement in an Indianapolis shooting that left a man in critical condition, WISH-TV reports. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) and the U.S. Marshal Task Force collaborated with Atlanta law enforcement to take Christiona Hutchinson into custody.
According to IMPD, the shooting took place in the early hours of July 5 on the 1400 block of Burdsal Parkway. Hutchinson was linked to the crime after officers found an abandoned vehicle, registered in her name, near the scene. A firearm was also recovered, concealed beneath the SUV’s hood, FOX59 reports. The discovery kickstarted an inter-state search, culminating in Hutchinson’s arrest.
Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Hutchinson and subsequently tracked her to Atlanta, Georgia, where she was apprehended on Wednesday.
