Lawyer gave drugs to client in YSL case, prosecutors say

An Atlanta defense attorney faces a dozen charges after Fulton County prosecutors accused her of smuggling drugs for one client and, in a separate case, advising a suspect in a fatal shooting investigation to destroy evidence.

Nicole Fegan represented Tenquarius Mender, one of more than two dozen people charged in the sprawling “Young Slime Life” gang and racketeering trial centered on Atlanta rapper Young Thug.

A lengthy indictment filed Monday accuses Fegan of working with an acquaintance of Mender’s to bring him contraband while he was in custody, and of instructing a suspect in a separate shooting to get rid of his cellphone to hinder the investigation in that case.

The charges against Fegan include trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and violating the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, among others…
