Man wanted by Atlanta police for armed robbery, assault arrested at Canadian border

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man with multiple arrest warrants out of Atlanta was taken into custody in New York state at the Canadian border, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Djamilou Sebabe, 27, was trying to re-enter the United States using the Peace Bridge in Buffalo on Monday when officers found him in the National Crime Information Center. The database said Sebabe, a U.S. citizen residing in Georgia, was wanted by the Atlanta Police Department for armed robbery and aggravated assault, among other charges.

Sebabe was turned over to the Buffalo Police Department and is in custody at the Erie County Holding Center as he awaits extradition back to Georgia…
