Kenneth Holmes, 47, of Marietta, is accused of fleeing from a lawful traffic stop by police in a 2015 white Chevrolet Spark and striking a gold Toyota Sequoia occupied by two people on July 24 at 5 p.m. at 31 Cobb Parkway SE in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
After wrecking his vehicle, Holmes ran on foot in an attempt to evade arrest. He actively resisted arrest by biting the thigh of an officer that drew blood and ripped a mouth-sized hole out of the officer’s duty pants. Holmes also kicked another officer in the torso, according to the warrant.
Holmes was in possession of a Glock 19 9mm handgun, which is illegal for him to have after being convicted on March 16, 1999 in Fayette County Superior Court on purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana charges. He was also found in possession of 16 grams of methamphetamine packaged in three separate bags, along with an electronic scale with methamphetamine residue and a box of sandwich bags that matched those the methamphetamine was packaged in, according to the warrant…
