Secret Service agents confiscate dozens of credit card skimming machines in Metro Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The U.S. Secret Service along with various law enforcement agencies confiscated about two dozen credit card skimming machines from stores and gas stations in Metro Atlanta and Columbus Thursday.

The operation was part of the Secret Service and US Department of Agriculture (USDA) efforts to crackdown on increasing fraud across the country.

The skimming machines are designed to steal consumers’ card information, but are also aiding in the theft of billions in stolen federal taxpayer dollars from electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards…
