ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Police are actively searching for two critically missing children, 10-year-old Brooklyn Reeves and her 9-year-old cousin Taylen Boykins, after the pair disappeared Friday afternoon from the 2500 block of Etheridge Drive NW.
Last Seen After Instagram-Related Dispute
According to Nicole Reeves, Brooklyn’s mother, the disappearance followed a disagreement over social media usage. She stated her daughter had re-downloaded Instagram after it had been removed from her phone. When confronted, Brooklyn had her phone taken away — shortly after, she left the house.
“I took her phone to my room and that’s when I heard my nephew say, ‘No Brooklyn, you can’t go,’ and I heard my door shut,” Nicole Reeves told reporters.
She immediately searched the area but did not see either child in the neighborhood.
Descriptions and What They Were Wearing
Brooklyn Reeves is described as:
- 5 feet tall, weighing 110 pounds

- Last seen wearing a white tie-dye shirt, blue pajama pants, and her hair in a ponytail
Taylen Boykins is described as:
- 4 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 80 pounds
- Black hair, brown eyes
Both were last seen leaving the house together, and authorities are classifying them as critically missing juveniles.
