Marietta used car dealership closes following Atlanta News First investigation

MARIETTA, Ga. — A Marietta used car dealership has closed its gates following an Atlanta News First investigation that uncovered a pattern of customer complaints and a suspended used car dealer’s license.

Alliance Automotive Group, a small, high-mileage used car lot on South Cobb Drive in Cobb County, is accused of failing to process tag and title paperwork for multiple customers, who say they can’t drive their vehicles because their temporary tags expired.

Willie Lowe, a city of Marietta sanitation employee, spotted a 2012 white Hyundai Equus at the dealership in May. At 112,000 miles, the car’s interior and exterior were in excellent condition. Lowe paid $8,900 in cash and signed the bill of sale on June 7…
