Police: Child consumes Kratom at Mableton daycare

Kennesha Floyd of Atlanta is accused of leaving a package of 7Tabz containing 7-Hydroxymitragynine containing compounds from Mitragyna Speciosa (Kratom) on a shelf in a daycare room with multiple juveniles on Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. at Bright Minds Learning and Child Care Center, 200 Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

A two-year-old was able to possess and consume the package. The child went unresponsive. The child became responsive again when administered Narcan.

The 7Tabz package states “for adult use only,” “keep out of reach of children,” and “must be 21+ to consume/possess/purchase.”…
