Tanya Miller enters Georgia attorney general race, prioritizes safety and rights

ATLANTA, Ga. (WGXA) — Tanya Miller, the current representative for District 62 in southeast Atlanta, announced her candidacy for Georgia’s attorney general on Monday.

She has been in the law field for 20 years, prosecuting crimes against women and children, homicides, and then became a civil rights and criminal defense lawyer. Miller believes her experience will be beneficial for the position.

“We should be on the front lines of public safety. We should be on the front lines of consumer protection. The attorney general’s office has extraordinary power to bring cases in the criminal space and in the civil space,” Miller said…
