Brookhaven Police crack down on street takeovers

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Eleven people have been arrested after three street takeover incidents in Brookhaven, and Brookhaven Police say more arrests are on the way.

On Aug. 17, 24, and 31, the Brookhaven Police reported that hundreds of people took over different intersections within the city limits for illegal and organized street takeovers.

“People were reporting upwards of 100 vehicles that had illegally taken over the intersection, and they were doing stunts in the middle of the intersection,” shared Brookhaven Police Lt. Carlos Nino about the most recent incident…
