Atlanta mourns death of one of the city’s first Black pediatricians, Dr. Booker T. Poe

ATLANTA — Atlanta is mourning the loss of one of the city’s first Black pediatricians, according to the city council.

Dr. Booker T. Poe died on Aug. 31. He was 89 years old. He was a beloved member of the Atlanta medical community for more than six decades.
