Five Months of Violence End in Tragedy: Dekalb County Man Indicted for Killing Wife, 6-Year-Old

Decatur, Ga. – A DeKalb County man has been indicted on more than 30 charges stemming from a series of domestic violence incidents that escalated over several months and culminated in the shooting deaths of his estranged wife and a 6-year-old child.

On Thursday, a DeKalb County Grand Jury returned indictments against 47-year-old William Almond. The charges include two counts of malice murder, five counts of felony murder, multiple counts of aggravated assault, cruelty to children, criminal damage to property, possession of firearms during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and sexual battery. The indictments cover several separate incidents involving his estranged wife, 29-year-old Tomekia Pullins, beginning in January 2025.

According to prosecutors, Almond was first accused of home invasion and assault on January 1, 2025, at Pullins’ apartment on Columbia Drive in unincorporated Decatur. A second incident on February 22, 2025, allegedly involved family violence assault and theft. On June 3, 2025, Pullins again reported an attack by Almond that added to the growing case against him…
