Angie Stone’s Kids Sue Drivers, Trucking Company in Fatal Crash

*Diamond Stone and Michael D’Angelo Archer, children of the late R&B icon Angie Stone, have filed a lawsuit in Gwinnett County, Atlanta, targeting the drivers, a trucking company, and a truck manufacturer involved in their mother’s fatal March 2025 crash in Alabama.

Page Six reports that court documents obtained by WSB-TV reveal that Stone, 63, initially survived when the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van carrying her and her entourage flipped after the driver lost control. While passersby rescued five of the nine passengers, Stone was still exiting the van when a tractor-trailer loaded with sugar struck it, ejecting her and pinning her underneath, leading to her death. The lawsuit claims Stone “consciously suffered” while trapped.

The legal action alleges the tractor-trailer driver “was not paying proper attention to the roadway ahead of him” and that the vehicle’s collision mitigation system failed. Stone was returning home after performing in Mobile, Alabama…
