Flags placed in remembrance of 9/11 stolen from Marietta business

MARIETTA — Mulkey Enterprises, a contracting business off of Old Highway 41, puts flags out in remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks every year.

For the last four years, those flags have been stolen.

Executive Administrator Rita Blackwell has worked at Mulkey since 1993. She said the company lines the front lawn with flags for all patriotic holidays — Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July. Since 2003, it’s also put flags out on Sept. 11 in remembrance of the terrorist attacks in 2001…
