Cedric Russell, 32, of Austell, is accused of causing a subdural hemorrhage and a broken cheek bone to a woman on Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. at 6882 Mableton Parkway in Mableton, in The Parkton apartment community, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Russell and the woman went out on a date to eat dinner. The victim, who was in the front passenger seat, said Russell had been drinking alcohol and was swerving all over the roadway. The victim told Russell to turn around and take her home, which caused a verbal argument. As Russell was pulling into the apartment complex, he struck the victim in the head with a hard object that she believed was either a handgun or a tire iron. Russell then dumped her on the side of the road and fled the area. The victim stumbled to her apartment and called for help before losing consciousness.
She was transported to Cobb Hospital for her injuries, according to the warrant…
