BYRON, Ga. (WGXA) — A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta after falling through the roof of a manufacturing business in Byron on Friday morning.
According to Byron Police Chief Wesely Cannon, just before 8:00 a.m., officers responded to the incident at Unified Defense on south Georgia Highway 49.
The metal fabrication company hired subcontractors to repair the roofing at one of the buildings at the site. He believes the 14-year-old was with a family member working with one of the subcontractors when he fell through the roof of the business…
