Teen charged for 27 car break-ins at northwest Atlanta apartment complex, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A teenager is facing charges after he was arrested for allegedly breaking into nearly 30 cars at an apartment complex in Atlanta.

According to police, officers responded to a call about multiple cars being broken into at Westley on the Beltline apartment complex, located at 370 Northside Dr. NW, just after 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 19. The call came from someone who saw two juvenile males breaking into about 27 vehicles in the parking deck.

When officers arrived, they saw a suspicious vehicle trying to leave the location. They tried to perform a traffic stop on the car, and after a brief refusal to stop, the car pulled over on the side of the road…
