Tyrin Markell Jones Rush, 31, of Powder Springs, is accused of trafficking 28.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle’s gas cap compartment on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Riverside Parkway and I-20 in Austell, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
During the traffic stop, officers also located two bags of suspected marijuana in the gas cap compartment. One bag weighed 28.6 grams and the other 6.7 grams for a total weight of 35.3 grams. Prior to the traffic stop, officers observed Rush manipulating the gas cap compartment. There was also 18.9 grams of suspected MDMA found in a book bag in the backseat of the vehicle claimed by Rush, according to the warrant.
Rush is charged with trafficking methamphetamine; possession of marijuana more than 1 ounce; and possession. He was arrested on Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
