ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – After what has been a year of fines, layoffs and instability, the New Georgia Project, a group founded by Stacey Abrams, has shut its doors for good.

Abrams founded the New Georgia Project in 2013, but stepped down in 2017 saying she had no role with the group thereafter. The Atlanta Democrat served in the state House from 2007-14, including a period as House minority leader…
