Cold case: GBI still trying to solve 11-year-old boy’s homicide 28 years later

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Decades after his body was found in the forest, state and local officials are still working to learn who killed an 11-year-old north Georgia boy.

Levi Frady was reported missing on Oct. 22, 1997 — exactly 28 years ago as of Wednesday. His body was found in the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area the next day.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office are still trying to solve the case.

According to the GBI, Frady was last seen on Little Mill Road in Forsyth County, a highly traveled route between Highway 306 and 369. A forensic artist created sketches of two potential witnesses…
