Shots fired near convenience store puts neighborhood on lockdown in SW Atlanta

Reports of gunfire forced police to place a local high school on lockdown. Students were at Booker T. Washington for a Coronation ball when they say police raced into the school with long guns telling them to find a safe place to shelter.

When Channel 2s Tom Jones arrived at the scene, he saw police everywhere. He also saw parents who had picked up their kids and were in a hurry to get them home.

But one parent stopped and talked to Jones and allowed her kids to tell him what they saw…
