On October 24, 2025, Atlanta police responded to a shooting at 3390 Fairburn Rd SW. Officers found a male juvenile with a gunshot wound to his foot. The juvenile told police he was shot after breaking into a vehicle. He was taken to Arthur M. Blank Children’s Hospital and was alert and conscious.
Police said the vehicle owner, 51-year-old Yoshay Carter, confronted the juvenile during the incident and fired a shot, hitting the juvenile’s foot. Carter was arrested at the scene.
