Video: After DUI arrest, chief forest ranger in northwest Georgia now off the job

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — The chief forest ranger for a county in northwest Georgia is now off the job after his arrest on DUI charges this week.

The Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) confirms that it employed Carnell Bryant was the GFC Chief Ranger III for Bartow, Cherokee and North Fulton Counties.

Carnell was arrested on Sunday and charged with DUI. His arrest was captured on video by resident Sabrina Freeman, who posted it on her TikTok page:

@_sabrinafreeman Dude annihilated our mailbox then ran into our yard until he slammed into a tree. On a Sunday at 5pm. I’ve got 3 kids that play in the front yard, only feet away from where pieces of our mailbox landed. Hell, we found a piece that was damn near in front of the stairs. This man is so damn lucky he didn’t take a life. But he’s a damn idiot for what he’s done. #GeorgiaForestryCommission#BartowCounty#RomeGA#GSP#GeorgiaStatePatrol♬ Meant To Live (Our Version) – Switchfoot
