Chattahoochee Tech acquires WWII era plane for repair by students

Students at Cobb County’s Chattahoochee Technical College will soon have the chance to learn the history of war aircraft in-person after the school bought a biplane once used to train World War II pilots.

The N3N aircraft is one of only around 24 still in existence, according to school officials, and will be used for students to learn both aviation history and mechanics.

With this new asset to the, Chattahoochee Tech’s Aviation Training Academy becomes the only academy in the country with one of these aircraft, said Alan Biercewicz, director of Chattahoochee Tech’s Aviation Program…
