A Doraville man has been charged in the August death of an Oakwood woman after he allegedly sold her fentanyl that caused her to overdose.
The Oakwood Police Department said officers were called to a home on Township Drive on Aug. 10 in reference to a reported cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, officers entered the home and located the victim lying on the bathroom floor. The victim was holding a syringe in her hand. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy was completed on the victim and the woman’s cause of death was determined as an “Overdose of Fentanyl,” according to OPD.
After a three month long extensive investigation and in coordination with the Hall County District Attorney’s Office, an OPD detective was able to obtain an arrest warrant for the charge of “Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter” against Erik Kahn, 37, for selling the Fentanyl to the victim that subsequently caused her death…
