Man shot from behind 17 times by off-duty Atlanta officer outside Buckhead bar, autopsy shows

ATLANTA — An autopsy report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner shows a man shot and killed by an off-duty Atlanta police officer outside a Buckhead bar was struck 17 times, from behind — a detail his family and friends said deepens their demand for justice.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate the case. Linton Blackwell, 44, known in Atlanta’s music community as B-Green, was shot by Officer Gerald Walker, who was working a side security job at Five Paces Inn on Oct. 11, authorities said.
