Police: Homeless man threatens man with knife at Windy Hill Citgo

Yovani Gonzalez, 22, listed as homeless, is accused of following a man after an argument into the Citgo gas station at 461 Windy Hill Road SE in Marietta, and pulling a large kitchen knife on the victim on Dec. 11 at 1:30 a.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

The victim said after the knife was pulled, Gonzalez pointed the knife toward him, in close quarters, and pushed the knife in his direction multiple times, but never made contact. Gonzalez refused to obey police officers to get on the ground and began to yell for a supervisor, according to the warrant.

Gonzalez is charged with aggravated assault weapon; and obstruction/hindering law enforcement. He was arrested on Dec. 11 at 6:12 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
