Former deputy at DeKalb Jail sentenced to 12 years for inappropriate relationship with inmate

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A former DeKalb County Jail deputy pleaded guilty to charges, including having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate, District Attorney Sherry Boston announced.

According to an investigation, jail employees found a contraband cellphone and cigarettes during a search of an inmate’s cell in April 2024.
