16-year-old dies from self-inflicted gunshot wounds after being taken to fire station for medical aid, police say

ATLANTA, Georgia — A teenager is dead after he was located with gunshot wounds in northwest Atlanta late Tuesday night, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers were called to Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 38 on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway Northwest around 10:50 p.m. on Jan 13, where they located a 16-year-old male unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner identified the teen as Jaimin White, who attended Maynard Jackson High School in the Glenwood Park neighborhood.

Investigators say the incident occurred earlier in the 1500 block of Ferno Drive Northwest. Police later learned that the teen was taken to the fire station by a family member for medical aid…
