A potentially historic winter storm will be moving across the southeast at the end of the week and into the weekend, bringing snow and ice.

North Georgia is in the middle of a band of freezing rain, predictions show, and could see more than 1/2 an inch of ice buildup which could be “crippling,” according to experts.
