Two Convicted In Stone Mountain Gas Station Shootout, Third Suspect Still Sought

DECATUR, Ga. – Two men have been convicted and sentenced in connection with a deadly gas station shootout in DeKalb County, while a third suspect remains at large, according to DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston.

A jury found Jeremy Collins, 29, guilty on Nov. 7, 2025, of felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in the shooting death of 20-year-old Keng Wilson. Jurors also convicted Joshua Ontario Simpson, 29, of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

On Dec. 17, 2025, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Nora Polk sentenced Collins to life in prison plus five years. Simpson was sentenced to 25 years, with 15 years to be served in custody and the remaining time on probation…
