2 men facing murder charges after planned drug deal robbery left two others dead

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Two men are facing murder charges after a drug deal that became a robbery turned deadly early Thursday morning.

DeKalb County Police said officers were called to the Brannon Hills Condominiums for a reported shooting on Jan. 22, at around 1:27 a.m. When they arrived, officers discovered the two men inside the vehicle on Brannon Hills Road, who later died at the scene. The victims were identified as 18-year-old Yohanis Birkuta and 25-year-old Ali Fadavi.

During the investigation, it was determined that before the shooting, the two victims and 21-year-old Abdul Sharif drove to an address on Valleybluff Drive to purchase marijuana from a 19-year-old named Eliel Gerardo…
