Several new Southern restaurants set to open in 2026 are putting Georgia on the culinary map.
A recent report from The Local Palate highlights seven Southern restaurant openings to watch in the year ahead, with Savannah, Metro Atlanta and Atlanta proper all landing standout spots on the list.
“Chefs from all over are introducing new food concepts to the dining scene, blending fusion flavors with elegant guest experiences,” the report wrote.

- Terminal 26 (Atlanta): Slated to open this spring at Ponce City Market, Terminal 26 brings Thai street food to the popular destination.
- Lester’s (Savannah): A French-leaning raw bar from James Beard Award–nominated chef Jacques Larson is set to open inside The Douglas boutique hotel in the winter.
- Mirae (Brookhaven): After first opening with a limited menu in late 2025, this modern Asian-fusion restaurant officially expanded to a full opening in January.
