Two Atlanta residents face drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Union County on Jan. 28.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that a deputy conducted the stop on a white Ford Focus based on traffic violations he observed. The deputy reported an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and claimed that information the two occupants provided did not make sense.
The agency’s Narcotics Unit was then called to the scene. According to UCSO, probable cause was developed to search the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of “large quantities” of methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. Authorities also located a loaded 9mm handgun, marijuana and drug packaging materials.
Timika Felton, 45, and Brian Price, 32, were arrested as a result of the search. Both face the following charges:
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of Marijuana- less than one once
