Former state employee charged with COVID fraud, attorney general says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A former state employee was charged with nearly $230,000 in COVID-19 fraud, the Georgia attorney general said.

Porsha Robinson, a former employee of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, allegedly conspired with five other people to defraud the agency’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program.

She allegedly submitted nine fraudulent applications under various names, including those of her co-defendants. The co-defendants allegedly “provided Robinson with a substantial kickback,” the attorney general said…
