Over a week into Black History Month, Cobb Chair Lisa Cupid addressed a public commenter’s concerns Tuesday that the county was offering more support to minority residents than white residents.
Speaking to the commission during its regular meeting, Cobb resident Christine Rozman said she “looked online to see how we’re supporting Blacks” and “came upon some organizations that all honor and appreciate and include Blacks.”
She went on to list various nonprofits and associations, many focused on building opportunities for Black professionals and business owners, like the African American Marketing Association, American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity and American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE)…
