Man convicted of killing Buckhead valet attendant sentenced to life in prison

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The man convicted of killing a parking valet attendant who interrupted a car break-in three years ago in Buckhead has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Randy King was found guilty on all counts in the death of 25-year-old Harrison Olvey on Thursday. After victim impact statements, the judge sentenced King to life without parole, plus 20 years.

Police said Olvey was working in a parking garage near the nightclub Tongue and Groove when he ran into the suspect burglarizing a car. The suspect shot Olvey, who was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital and later died.
