Brookhaven Police Department (BPD) arrested 19-year-old Aspen Easterling on Jan. 30 in connection with an animal cruelty investigation that originated from social media posts circulating online.
In the stream, Easterling, a rapper and Twitch streamer also known as “Aspen Kartier,” could be seen appearing to strike a wailing puppy repeatedly and grabbing the small dog by the skins of the puppy’s back.
A Brookhaven Police investigator was able to identify the suspect and confirm the associated address within the city, according to a news release, and police officers searched Easterling’s home at 1105 Town Boulevard on Jan. 30 and booked her at the DeKalb County Jail on cruelty-to-animal charges.
