‘Stay with me’: Georgia officers rush shot child to the hospital

ATLANTA, Ga. — Newly released body camera footage shows the moments Georgia police helped save the life of a child who was shot earlier this month.

On Feb. 8, Atlanta police officers were called to a home on Ruzelle Street in the Glenrose Heights neighborhood at around 6:40 a.m., where they found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

He was bleeding heavily and began to slip in and out of consciousness, officers say. Officers quickly applied a chest seal to the wound, but knew they couldn’t wait long for an ambulance…
