Fulton County officials tout jail improvement progress amid federal consent decree

Fulton County officials offered a progress report on the county’s efforts to address issues at the county’s Rice Street jail.

In a statement Friday, the county reported that $12.8 million was invested in jail improvements during the first year of a federal consent decree, with more than $50 million further budgeted for 2026.
