An Atlanta restaurant in the historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood is gaining national attention.
According to Southern Living, Auburn Angel is being recognized for blending Southern cuisine, Black history and community engagement in one of the city’s most culturally significant corridors.
Located along Auburn Avenue, the restaurant sits in a building that once housed the Auburn Avenue Rib Shack, a gathering place for civil rights activists in the area known as the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr.
