Southwest Atlanta home struck by gunfire; 74 shell casings found at scene

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Police recovered 74 bullet casings outside a home in the 1100 block of Fair Street in southwest Atlanta after gunmen opened fire on the residence around 1 a.m. Wednesday. No arrests have been made.

Atlanta police said four suspects fired dozens of rounds into the home, shattering windows, damaging the siding, and coming close to the gas meter. Atlanta firefighters also responded to the scene overnight.

The mother who lives at the home told Atlanta News First reporter Don Shipman she and her three children moved in three weeks ago.
