Knife Chaos at Covington Highway Chevron as DeKalb Cop Stabbed, Suspect Charged

A DeKalb County police officer is expected to make a full recovery after being stabbed while responding to a disturbance at a gas station in the 5400 block of Covington Highway. Officers had been called to the scene after reports of an intoxicated person harassing customers, and authorities say the suspect pulled a knife during a struggle inside the store. Additional officers arrived and were able to take the suspect into custody, and both the officer and the suspect were treated for their injuries.
