Arrest warrant: Marietta man took Camaro after $15K engine replacement

Chase Eric Ross, 24, of Marietta, is accused of engine repair service theft on Nov. 7, 2025, at Steve Raymond Chevrolet, 2155 Cobb Parkway, Smyrna, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.

Ross dropped off his 2011 yellow Chevrolet Camaro at the dealership for repairs. The engine was replaced at a cost of $15,146.11. The dealership attempted to call Ross 41 times after the repairs for him to pick up the vehicle. On Dec. 4, 2025, they made contact with Ross and told him the vehicle was ready for pick up. A short time after they spoke, the vehicle went missing from the lot. On Dec. 11, 2025, Ross was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license, insurance violation and driving without a driver’s license on person. Ross was in possession of the vehicle at the time of that arrest, according to the warrant.

Ross is charged with theft of services – greater than $1,500. He was arrested March 2 at 1:05 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
