South Fulton homeowners are about to pay more to take out the trash. The South Fulton City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to raise the city’s annual solid waste fee to $275, up from $233.16. The $41.84 increase, roughly $3.49 a month for the average household, is the first adjustment to the fee in three years.
What homeowners will see on their bills
The new $275 annual solid waste fee will show up on updated sanitation bills that are set to go out in June, with full payment due on Aug. 1, 2026, according to WSB-TV. The station reports that council members signed off on the increase at Tuesday’s meeting and that it works out to about $3.49 per month for a typical household.
