A 20-year-old Atlanta man, Jeremiah Theodore McGee-Ashton, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after a Beaufort County jury found him guilty of voluntary manslaughter and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The conviction stems from the 2022 shooting death of 57-year-old Mark Tony Haynes on Buck Island Road in Bluffton.
